So up again, from an Oklahoma City bombing to a Titanic.

Let’s check those canaries . . .

So this is wobbly, but appears to be wobbly spikes.  However the efficacy of these numbers, with the recent days, I find questionable, and I’m questioning not so much John’s Hopkins, but the process by which reporting goes to them.  If they are not given good numbers it is not relevant what you do with them.

“Global carbon emissions dropped 17 percent during coronavirus lockdowns, scientists say”
So there you have it, we, by we I mean we the average western person, are responsible directly for 17% of the carbon emitted.  Not big Industry, Energy, or Agriculture.  Those and others are responsible for the rest, but these big visible changes we can all see?  That is us driving less, and using less power in activities, polluting less by 17% globally.  That is not an insignificant amount we do personally.

“Michigan governor declares emergency after dams collapse”
Climate Change, like C-19, is a global threat not everyone can see or cognitively accept, many are in denial still.

(Reuters) – “Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Tuesday declared an emergency for Midland county after two dams breached and on expectations of extreme flooding.  The county said two dams, Edenville and Sanford, have collapsed due to heavy rain in the past few days and residents nearby have been told to evacuate immediately. “In the next 12 to 15 hours, downtown Midland could be under approximately nine feet of water”, the governor said in a news conference.  About 3,500 homes and 10,000 people have so far been affected by the evacuation notices”

“Cyclone Amphan triggers rain in West Bengal, Odisha”,
Over 150,000 people evacuated, torrential rain and floods expected with severe winds, all while on C-19 lockdown. ‘an we’ll have fun, fun, fun till Daddy takes the T-bird away”, eh?

Trump is a student of Houdini; that is he is a master of misdirection.  If I heard he was raging on twitter and TV about a dick which grew out of his forehead, I would not be surprised.  It is all about capturing the news cycle and making it cover whatever BS he ranted about, instead of covering something else, like the corruption being revealed about Mike Pompeo.  He has done that since his first campaign, say anything, no matter how crazy, do it every day, and the news rails about whatever you ranted about; it’s a troll as POTUS, and the media is required to cover whatever the troll spews.
