There is a huge tendency right now in my nation, to deny or belittle the seriousness of Covid 19. Far too many think far too little of the illness, many ignore using masks, and many more think it is a political hype job designed to get Trump.

Trump has for four years used a steady stream of misinformation and endless scandals which has set much of his base up in a make believe, gas-lighted reality.  Into this gas-light reality Trump injects his desires for mass rallies. and folks are lining up in Red Red Okie.  There Trumps Red, Rural, Evangelical base sees Trump as an Icon, larger than life, even infallible, or chosen by God.

All failings of the Trump Administration are seen as ‘Fake News’, as Trump their Icon has repeatedly told them.  These states did not see the early bloom as in NYC, and are mostly as rural as my own state.  The bloom is only hitting them now because of the lack of a cohesive national response.  Many living in these locals seem to be in denial along with their Icon, and I truly fear what blooms may come of that.

This bears repeating for any real time reader, and to show historians that in this moment many of us have been gas-lighted by the POTUS into thinking C-19 is less than the threat it is. C-19 is not the flu, it is a dangerous novel virus.

A novel virus is your toddler holding a brand new shiny razor blade, they do not know what sharp is and are about to find out.  The human race is that toddler. The fear and concern such a concept arises in your mind is the level of concern and one should hold for themselves and their loved ones until the virus is no longer novel, and we have methods of fighting back, like vaccines.

We have learned some things about C-19, for one it is a hell of a lot more contagious than the flu.  It is also a lot more lethal, flu killing about .01% of people who get it and C-19 averaging so far between 1% and 7% mortality. Now math is not a lot of people’s strong suit, so think about it like this
if
1 in 10,000 die from flu (.01%)
then C-19 is between
100 to 700 in 10,000 (1-7%)

Then there is recovery, which for some folks seems to be unending.  Lung damage and odd after effects and syndromes complicate the after care for many C-19 victims.  We won’t know till after this bloom, and maybe the next few blooms.  Rather we will become infected, grow ill, and die, and we will learn from all those victims and our ongoing research until it is no longer novel.

So if you don’t think it serious enough try this . . .

These are healthy Lungs . . .

These are cancer ridden lungs

These are C-19 lungs

Any Questions?

C. Michael Gibson MD-June 11 “a #COVID19 infected lung taken from a 20 year old who had a double lung transplant. The extent and magnitude of damage is severe.”

Those red states mentioned earlier hold a very major difference to my own state, which I think results in both their red nature VS our purple nature, and that is industrialized farming of both crops and animals.
Here in Maine we don’t have a lot of that, chickens for egg laying being the primary.  We are also a land of lakes, rivers, and forests, not farmland.  Farms were chopped out of forests and still exist mostly as homes with farms these days, not working farms.  Others went organic or specialty farming years ago.

As a response to both C-19 and Climate Shift we are doing that here.  My son, his wife and I are buying a house with land, a small old farm of some type, which we plan on making our self-sufficient farm enterprise, to defray all food costs and ensure our own food supply.  If we do well enough at that problem perhaps we will also become a specialty farm of some sort.

After we buy one I shall be even further isolated, more rural pushing on wilderness.

‘Facebook takes down Trump ads ‘for violating our policy against organized hate’’
The Trump campaign was using the infamous Red Triangle from Nazi Germany as a button on ads.  This Icon violates Facebook policies, but reveals a lot about the Trump Campaign.  What else is it but a dog whistle to White supremacists and Nazis?

An open question I have had for some time with the Grand Ole Party is as follows:  If you’re the ‘Grand Ole Party’ and Nazis come to your door asking to come in, and you invite them in, and allow them to run for office as the ‘Grand Ole Party”, are you not now the ‘Grand Ole Nazi Party’?

If your political party hosts White nationalists, White Supremacists, Neo-Nazis and Nazis as members how can any member say with a straight face they are not that and do not support that?  It is most obvious that they must at the very least tolerate it, if not support and or endorse it because it resides now in their party, and the Party itself is tainted by it.

As I see it now if you are GOP you are either supporting or tolerating or endorsing all the above mentioned ideologies inside your political party.  Thus I cannot vote for any GOP ever again without tacitly endorsing all those above ideologies. I did not chose this, I was leveraged into it by the GOP embracing those practicing such ideologies as their own.

‘Study ties blood type to COVID-19 risk; O may help, A hurt’—AP
“A genetic analysis of COVID-19 patients suggests that blood type might influence whether someone develops severe disease. Scientists who compared the genes of thousands of patients in Europe found that those who had Type A blood were more likely to have severe disease while those with Type O were less likely. “Most of us discounted it because it was a very crude study,” Dr. Parameswaran Hari, a blood specialist at the Medical College of Wisconsin, said of the report from China. With the new work, “now I believe it,” he said. “It could be very important.” Other scientists urged caution.

The evidence of a role for blood type is “tentative … it isn’t enough of a signal to be sure,” said Dr. Eric Topol, head of the Scripps Research Translational Institute in San Diego.
