172 Days since first US infection
Guess what? I need to go prep for a tropical storm in Maine. I see this as the new normal as Maine becomes North Carolina due to climate shift.
So what will that mean? For us it will be akin to the winter Nor Easter’s we get, 50-75 mph wind gusts, sustained in the 40-60 range, and lots of rain. That means lots of tree damage, and we have a lot more trees than people. So we will have widespread power outages and depending on how the storm plays out, what track it takes, a recovery period from hours to weeks if you’re remote enough.
This is why we have our own generator at the new house.
Here, where we are, power loss is common in storms but very short lived. We are too near the steam power plant and on a main line to hospitals and town centers. Power outages are hours here, elsewhere in Maine I have had weeks of no power due to remote location, like where our (hopeful) new home will be.
|July 11th||2020||4:00 PM|
|Increase in Deaths||3,645||4,358|
|Increase in Deaths||336||692|
|Increase in Deaths||0||0|
I frequently find some discrepancies between my own numbers and those posted by Legacy Media. These differences are often thousands in the daily tally (today’s new cases), while the overall tally(total cases) is exactly the same as the mainstream media. Since I take the numbers at the same time every day from John’s Hopkins tracker and I have no clue by what standard they are taking the numbers, I cannot tell who is off.
I suspect they know when everyone has reported to John’s Hopkins, and then take a tally, whereas I have no inside info and so just take the Hopkins numbers at 4 PM for consistency. I do not see a magical cure or sudden disappearance on our horizon. This Pandemic is already endemic and blooming throughout society, it will do so until it has gotten 70% of us. We could slow the spread so the hospitals can handle it, but Trump won’t have that.
Without those severe mitigations, like closing down, this asymptomatic, pre-symptomatic virus will do just that, playing Motley Cru with our bodies. If you’re lucky they just pass out and leave, if you’re not they tear out the walls.
Too bad out POTUS does not care, it seems things only matter if they happen to him personally.
Meanwhile I get to prepare for a tropical depression/storm on its way here to Maine.
